Our relationship began 17 years ago. Kevin had just relocated to California from Memphis,
Tennessee. We met while enjoying one of our passions, ballroom dancing. We knew our
connection was special and we were married within 8 months. One thing we discussed from the
start was our desire to have a family together. When we began our quest for a child a few years
into our marriage, we encountered much difficulty. After enduring many years of infertility, we
have decided that adoption is the path we wish to take to achieve our dream of creating our
family. We have the financial and emotional stability to provide a loving, secure, content home
for your baby. We have an appreciation of the arts as well as intellectual pursuits and wish to
share these as well as to encourage and support this child to pursue their goals and dreams.
We live in a lovely suburban community in the San Francisco Bay Area. There is an award
winning library and several parks within walking distance of our home. Our neighborhood is family
friendly and safe and our school district rates highly. We are in close proximity to beautiful hiking
trails and the ocean. It's a perfect place to raise a child! As a couple, we enjoy the comforts of our warm, inviting home, which we share with our two adorable
English Angora bunnies, Stanley and Olivia. Our lovely backyard is perfect for safe playtime. We also love to hike, go on coastal getaways and attend concerts and art and cultural events. Spending special times with our wonderful family and friends is very important to us.
Kevin is the oldest of 5 children, Barbara has one sister. Our families live in the San Francisco
bay area and Tennessee (which provides us all with a great reason to travel for visits). Together,
our parents, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and dear friends
joyfully and anxiously await the arrival of our newest family member. This child will be loved by many. Kevin is a successful software engineer and has many creative talents. He plays piano, composes
music, enjoys ballroom dancing, figure skating, reading and creating new technology. Barbara
says of Kevin: "I love his patient and kind nature, his brilliance, sense of humor and emotional
reliability. He possesses a great balance of intellect and creativity. He has a depth of knowledge
on so many things and is a great natural teacher. In recent years, he has been giving me piano lessons. Our life is filled with laughter and a sense of peace and contentment. The only thing that can add to our happy life together is a baby to love, cherish and care for forever."
Barbara is currently a realtor, who will be a full time stay at home mom. Her many interests
include the outdoors, music, ballroom dancing, interior design, reading, nature and wildlife
photography, cooking and gardening. Besides learning to play piano, she is currently taking
Italian lessons. Being quite an animal lover, she also volunteers her time in rescuing injured wild
ducks and geese. Kevin says of Barbara: "Barbara is fun, sensitive, nurturing, a great
communicator with a loving heart and spirit. She frequently provides warm and caring counsel to
many of our friends and family members. She possesses a compassionate, empathic nature that
others seek out when in need of comfort or advice. I've even witnessed strangers opening up to
her about intimate details of their lives. She also has a playful side - I can envision her singing
original lullabies while dancing with our baby. She is my best friend, confidant and truly the love
of my life."
