When we got married, we knew we wanted to start a family as soon as we could. We were
fortunate to get pregnant right away and Kyle was born in January of 1997. Kyle is the
light of our lives. We enjoy being parents so much and know our family will be blessed
with the addition of a second child. Because of fertility problems, it is impossible for us to have another baby biologically.
Although we are disappointed, we feel this is the way it is meant to be...somewhere out
there is a little one who is meant to be part of our loving family. Barbara is one of ten
and Joe, one of five. Our brothers and sisters are some of our favorite people. We want
our children to enjoy that special bond siblings have. Here's more about our family. We have been married for 3 years and have known each other for 6. We met here in San
Francisco at a church youth group meeting, went out for a cup of coffee afterward, and
have been together ever since. We have a happy, solid, loving marriage which got even
stronger when Kyle came. We are a team in every aspect of our marriage and family, and
the three of us spend a lot of time together hiking, riding bikes and enjoying San
Francisco. Parenthood has changed our priorities with Kyle being the main focus of our
activities. We have a wonderful circle of friends with children and our social lives
revolve around them. Barbara grew up in New Jersey, number seven in a family of ten. Barbara lived in
Manhattan before moving to San Francisco. She works part time selling advertising for
two healthcare magazines not far from our house in San Francisco. Her hours are flexible
and she works both at home and at the office. It is the perfect job since it allows her
to have the best of both worlds...working and most importantly spending time with Kyle. Joe grew up in Chicago, the youngest of 5 kids. After finishing graduate school in
Engineering, Joe took the opportunity to transfer to sunny California. Joe enjoys a very
interesting job in the semiconductor industry, that offers many opportunities in Silicon
Valley. His work will provide a good living, a safe home, and good education for Kyle
and his future brother or sister. Kyle is a sweet, giggly little guy with boundless energy. He loves the Teletubbies,
Elmo, trains and bubbles. Kyle's favorite place is the playground at the park where he
has mastered the swings and slide and eventually will catch one of those birds he is
always chasing. We take him to the YMCA for swim lessons and he is also a regular at
Gymboree. He is going to love having a little brother or sister. To date, the immediate family on Barbara's side (Mom, brothers, sisters, brothers and
sisters-in-law and kids) numbers 34. The baby that joins our family will be number 35.
Our family parties are big and a ton of fun! Mom (Dad passed away 15 years ago) lives
about five houses from the beach in New Jersey and we try to go there for a week every
summer and every other Christmas. There are 17 people on Joe's side of the family. We are all very close, and they are a
vital support structure for us. Although Joe's parents live in the Chicago suburbs, the
family gets together at various times throughout the year for vacations and holidays.
The family is very excited about another addition to the family. We live in San Francisco, across the street from Golden Gate Park. Our back yard opens
to a private drive where there are lots of kids to play with. Every weekend there is a
group out there riding bikes or playing basketball. There is a neighborhood party every
Labor Day and a Halloween party after which we all trick or treat together. We are
finding this to be one of the best neighborhoods for kids in San Francisco. We were lucky to find a big house with lots of room for kids, friends and visitors. The
house has earned the nickname of "The Inn on the Park" since both our families and quite
a few friends come often to visit (both Grandmas come at least twice a year). We always
have a big group over for Thanksgiving (last year - 22 adults, 8 kids). We look forward
to many happy years here. We have a wonderful, happy life. As parents, we have a lot of love, laughter and fun to
offer. We know we can provide your child with the opportunity to grow up in a secure
home as part of a loving family. We would be happy to stay in touch with you over the years if that is your wish. Please
be assured we will always make sure that he or she knows what a special person you are. If we are the kind of family you are looking for, please call us toll-free at 800-781-2856, access code 03,

Thank you for your consideration. Regardless of your decision,
we wish the best for you and your child. Sincerely, Barbara, Joe and Kyle |
