Dear Birth Parent(s): My name is Emily
This is our dream home and has lots of character. Art designed and built it years ago, taking extra time to install colorful tile in the bathrooms and at least one spiral staircase. One of the hallways connecting one part of the house to the other overlooks a pretty garden with a small bridge and a gurgling pond. Our back deck was built around a majestic old tree that we just couldn't bear the thought of chopping down. It's a great climbing tree and has become a part of our home life. Santa Cruz is a great place to raise children. Summers are spent strolling along the beach collecting shells and building sand castles, or going to the famous Boardwalk where we can brave the roller-coaster and other rides, as well as eat lots of popcorn and cotton candy. There is a terrific library and the schools are excellent. There is a very good elementary school and a very good high school just a few blocks away. Andrea attends a private elementary school called Gateway, which is in a beautiful location on the oceanfront. She has been going there since she was two and a half years old. Andrea loves school and all her friends, and we have many outside interests that keep us very active and busy. I have a Master's Degree in marriage, family, and child counseling, which I practiced for many years before becoming a parent. I also have a Master's Degree in art with a major in ceramics. We have a little studio in our home where Andrea and I spend lots of time on our projects. In addition to ceramics, we do a lot of drawing and water colors. Andrea loves to cook breakfast, which includes waffles, scrambled eggs, and she makes great coffee (even though she doesn't drink it). We also like to make brownies, jello and smoothies. Andrea is very athletic and is on a basketball league and a girl's soccer league. She also takes swimming, horseback riding, gymnastics, woodworking, doll making, and clay classes. In addition, she goes to summer camps each year. Last year it was a camp at our temple and art and computer camp at her school. Soon she will attend Spanish camp, which is a second language to me. She loves being busy and although she loves her many friends, she is truly looking forward to sharing all of her projects with a sister. We are Jewish and go to Sunday School. We celebrate Hanukkah too, but we also celebrate Christmas. We love any holidays! I am financially secure and no longer need to work. My children will have wonderful opportunities for higher education and travel. We have lots of room in our home and an abundance of love in our hearts, for another child. Please help us become a family of three! If you can help us, or if you want more information, you are welcome to call me collect at (831) 458-1619.
