WHO WE ARE... We are a small law office which has completed thousands of adoptions in the past 15 years. We handle both private and agency adoptions. We generally have over fifty families who are eagerly waiting to hear from potential birth parents. You can see some of their pictures and read their letters right here on-line. Our office is in the San Francisco Bay Area and our clients are from all parts of California. Marc is a lawyer. He is ably assisted by a small support staff. We all love what we do, and together we do our best to help put together sound, happy, caring adoptions.  WHAT WE DO... Our job is to do whatever is necessary to enable birth parents and adoptive parents to have a positive adoption experience. When a potential birth mother (or someone on her behalf) contacts our office we give her as much information as she needs to take the next step. Sometimes, especially if she is early in her pregnancy, all she needs to know is that she has plenty of time to figure out what she wants to do. Usually by the time she is within a few months of the due date she is ready to choose adoptive parents. We are happy to help her select the family whenever she is ready. Once the family is chosen, the details need to be worked out. If the mother is from outside California, she may wish to come here before her due date and have her baby at a hospital near the adoptive parents or parent. If she prefers to have her baby in her state of residence, we usually find an attorney or agency in her community to help us handle the legalities. Counseling is always readily available to birth parents. The adoptive family can help out with all the necessary expenses, which can include the mother's living expenses. When the baby is born the adoptive parents are often on hand for the big event. If the birth parents are agreeable, the baby leaves the hospital with the adoptive parents. Of course, all the necessary documents are carefully and thoroughly explained so that everyone's rights are protected. We have a very positive attitude about adoption because we have seen so many really goods ones. Marc has adopted two children so our personal experience reinforces our professional view of the process.
